This game is epic, 5 out of 5

Maybe adding a flamethrower would be great af

(+1)

Haha thank you my dude! I appreciate you playing it. I actually have plans to do a redux version with better graphics, expanded level and more weapons, a flamethrower is a great idea so I'll add it to the list!

This is great and amazing! It brings me back to my childhood days of watching the Aliens movie! How do I save? Does that work? Thank you!

thank you so much for playing and for the kind words :) you should just be able to save and load from the pause menu? is it not working?

Hmm. I dont really know. I tried to save, but it didnt do anything.

Hmm thanks for letting me know. I'll do some testing

Thank you! How many levels are there in the current state? Its great!!!

Uhm...it doesn't start and I cannot uninstall it...

Are you getting any kind of error message? And did you download the installer version or the zip folder?

(+1)

Hi! Nope, I'm not getting any kind of error message if I try to run the game but if I treid to uninstall it I got the message "the game is running; close it to uninstall it" but the game wasn't running

After shutting down the pc I finally managed to uninstall it!

I downloaded the installer version

There was probably something running in the background. I get that as well sometimes. You might have better luck with the zip folder version if you ever try to give it another go :)

Thanks! I will try it asap

I'm bearer of awful news...even with the zip thingie it doesn't start

We need to take off and nuke everything from orbit...or it's game over man, game over

GOOD NEWS, I MANAGED TO MAKE IT RUN

GLORY TO THE MACHINE SPIRIT AND THE OMNISSIAH

(+1)

Good job =) Great atmosphere and style!

Thank you very much for playing :)

Absolutely great game and takes me back to the good ol' boomer shooter days. A great game that every Alien fan should try out :)

Wow, that was such a nice comment! Thank you so much for playing

Brilliant game brings back memories of Alien Trilogy on the playstation.  Plus for those asking about Linux it works if you use lutris. I have it running on steam deck.

thanks for much for the kind words, i'm glad you liked it! Apparently it runs well on wine also

Very cool short retro FPS! You really nailed the ambiance, environments, and gameplay. It's a fantastic tribute to the original series with lots of interesting ideas, just wish it was a bit longer but very fun overall. Excellent work!

(+1)

Thank you for playing and for the kind words!

(+1)

Game is amazing, getting a nostalgic feeling for Alien Trilogy! Any chance of some cover image assets  for SteamGridDB?

Thanks so much for the kind words! Yeah no problem I can send you over some images. What sizes do you need? I know of steamgrid but I've not used it before

Hi! This looks amazing, and I have had it downloaded for a few days (just an exe file) - I just want to ask before installing it, as Windows is going bananas when I try to run it. Is it a false positive? If I press Run and ignore warning, I will be rewarded with a great experience instead of some scary stuff on my PC (that is not digital aliens) ? xD

(+1)

Absolutely! It's a false positive but if you're not comfortable there is a zip download of the files if you dont want to go through the installer

(+1)

Great retro fps! The design and sound are really reminiscent of the 1979 film. You even do some chair jumping :)

I'm glad you liked it :) thanks so much for playing

Hello. I was sent here by GamingOnLinux, which is a not-so-subtle hint that I came here to add to the voices asking for native Linux support. As a fan of both boomer shooters and Linux, I can say I'd greatly appreciate being able to play this title with the full, unhindered speed Linux offers

I saw in another comment that you want to support MacOS and Linux, but the engine used only supports Windows, however, you'd look into porting the assets to a different engine if the game was popular enough. I'm more of a player than a developer, but I would highly recommend looking into the GZDoom engine, which can and has been used for standalone games in the past, or even Godot, which would probably take more effort but would allow for greater control, either way both have excellent Linux and (probably) MacOS support

(+2)

Thank you very much for your comment, I'm glad the game has been getting a lot of love especially from the Linux community. Honestly, it was a lot better received than I thought it would be so I will look into getting this ported to other platforms. Thanks for the suggestion with GZDoom, that will be the first one I look at :)

Game is pretty good! did a great job

(+1)

Solid little Aliens tribute! I'd play more levels.

thanks so much, glad you liked it

(+1)

Всё проверил. Всё работает замечательно. Благодарю.

(+3)

This looks awesome O.O!!! Could be possible to make Linux and Mac builds?

(+2)

thank you! but unfortunately i dont think i can :( i'm using a little engine called EFPSE and as far as i know it only exports builds for windows

(+3)

Haw :(, what a pity. Should be awesome to look for other engines (if it is possible to translate it all the data), and make it for these O.S.'s. Anyway, thanks again for made an Aliens dream game for fans *_*!

(+2)

you're too kind thank you! and' ill definitely look into it, if it's popular enough :)

(+5)

It runs well with Wine/Proton

(+1)

It plays fine with CrossOver on the Mac.  Just make a Win10 bottle and copy the contents of the unzipped folder into it.

(Nice game, by the way!)

(+2)

Installing from the Itch windows app doesn't work. It complains about the build being undefined.

(+1)

thank you for the heads up i'll look into that

(+1)

Works fine now

(+1)

I've added a zipped version that can be downloaded. hopefully you have better look with that on the windows app :)

(+2)

Hi is there a way to skip and speed up the intro when starting a new game?

(+1)

unfortunately not right now but that has been asked a few times so i will look at implementing something and updating the build. i'd suggest saving as soon as the game starts so if you die you can avoid the intro
