A downloadable game for Windows

"This is NOT a rescue mission. USS Boethiah crew expendable"

The year is 2171, the prison transport USS Boethiah, owned and maintained by the Weyland-Yutani Corporation sent a distress message to central command. A full scale riot is in progress and they have been forced to land on LV-059, a planet of high importance to the company.

Preliminary scans of the planet show an ancient derelict vessel with a very high likelihood of Xenomorph activity, and the potential to finally capture a specimen for further study. It is of key importance that any company assets in the area must investigate the situation and enact special Order 937...

You play Sgt. Braun Rodriguez. An ex-colonial marine and current mercenary under the employment of Weyland-Yutani. Being the closest asset to LV-059 you are tasked with investigating the derelict ship, locating the crew of the USS Boethiah, securing any sensitive files and bringing home a sample of the Xenomorph XX121 life form.

Explore the strange architecture of the derelict ship and fight your way through hordes of Xenomorphs as you attempt to complete your objectives set by the company in this retro-style 2.5d shooter.

  • Battle against hordes of Xenomorphs using the iconic weaponry from the franchise.
  • Explore unique and varied environments as you traverse through familiar locales from the movies such as the egg chamber and space jockey navigation room.
  • Complete numerous objectives and attempt to escape with your life.
  • Figure out what happened to the fate of the USS Boethiah's crew and prisoners.
  • Prepare for an intense battle against the infamous Xenomorph Queen as you try to put a stop to the ferocious alien infestation on planet LV-059.

Hi! This looks amazing, and I have had it downloaded for a few days (just an exe file) - I just want to ask before installing it, as Windows is going bananas when I try to run it. Is it a false positive? If I press Run and ignore warning, I will be rewarded with a great experience instead of some scary stuff on my PC (that is not digital aliens) ? xD

(+1)

Absolutely! It's a false positive but if you're not comfortable there is a zip download of the files if you dont want to go through the installer

Great retro fps! The design and sound are really reminiscent of the 1979 film. You even do some chair jumping :)

I'm glad you liked it :) thanks so much for playing

Hello. I was sent here by GamingOnLinux, which is a not-so-subtle hint that I came here to add to the voices asking for native Linux support. As a fan of both boomer shooters and Linux, I can say I'd greatly appreciate being able to play this title with the full, unhindered speed Linux offers

I saw in another comment that you want to support MacOS and Linux, but the engine used only supports Windows, however, you'd look into porting the assets to a different engine if the game was popular enough. I'm more of a player than a developer, but I would highly recommend looking into the GZDoom engine, which can and has been used for standalone games in the past, or even Godot, which would probably take more effort but would allow for greater control, either way both have excellent Linux and (probably) MacOS support

Thank you very much for your comment, I'm glad the game has been getting a lot of love especially from the Linux community. Honestly, it was a lot better received than I thought it would be so I will look into getting this ported to other platforms. Thanks for the suggestion with GZDoom, that will be the first one I look at :)

Всё проверил. Всё работает замечательно. Благодарю.

(+3)

This looks awesome O.O!!! Could be possible to make Linux and Mac builds?

(+2)

thank you! but unfortunately i dont think i can :( i'm using a little engine called EFPSE and as far as i know it only exports builds for windows

(+3)

Haw :(, what a pity. Should be awesome to look for other engines (if it is possible to translate it all the data), and make it for these O.S.'s. Anyway, thanks again for made an Aliens dream game for fans *_*!

(+2)

you're too kind thank you! and' ill definitely look into it, if it's popular enough :)

(+5)

It runs well with Wine/Proton

(+1)

It plays fine with CrossOver on the Mac.  Just make a Win10 bottle and copy the contents of the unzipped folder into it.

(Nice game, by the way!)

(+2)

Installing from the Itch windows app doesn't work. It complains about the build being undefined.

(+1)

thank you for the heads up i'll look into that

(+1)

Works fine now

(+1)

I've added a zipped version that can be downloaded. hopefully you have better look with that on the windows app :)

Hi is there a way to skip and speed up the intro when starting a new game?

(+1)

unfortunately not right now but that has been asked a few times so i will look at implementing something and updating the build. i'd suggest saving as soon as the game starts so if you die you can avoid the intro
